This seductive wine shows flavors of black cassis, black cherry and a hint of cocoa powder. Opus One is one of the world's most famous wines, and is a partnership of two of the most respected figures from Bordeaux and Napa Valley, Baron Philippe de Rothschild of Château Mouton Rothschild and Robert Mondavi. It was the first premium California wine sold in Europe, and is one of the origi Opus One Winery is located in Napa Valley and has been producing fine wines since 1979. The varietals produced at Opus One are as follows: 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc, 6% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot, and 2% Malbec. Each wine is aged in French oak for 18 months and are produced in a way that promises longevity in the cellar. A blend of 77.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot, 8% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 1.5% Malbec, the Opus One 2016 Proprietary Red Wine was recently bottled in July and August 2018.
